The aQuelle Cordwalles Mudman makes up the third event in the aQuelle Mudman Series and takes place at Orient Park, Midmar dam on Sunday.

Athletes may choose between the full distance course (700 m open water swim or 2,5 km paddle, 20 km cycle and 5 km trail run) or the short course (350 m open water swim or 1,25 km paddle, 10 km cycle and 2,5 km trail run), both of which are open to teams and individuals. The full individual and full team events start at 9 am and the half individual and half team events will start at 9.30 am.

Remember the floating bridge over the farm dam, although there is a chicken run too! Pre-entries close tomorrow at midnight so get your entry in, as the first 800 pre-entries will receive a free T-shirt. First come, first serve at registration for T-shirt size.

The popular Spur Mudskippers event is open to enthusiastic youngsters from pre-schoolers up to U11. Four mixed ability Mudskipper races are on offer, the first starting at 11 am. To avoid the rush on Sunday, pre-registration will take place at Cordwalles Preparatory School on Friday (March 11) from 12 pm until 3 pm for Mudskippers only. The first 400 Mudskipper entries will get a free T-shirt too. Registration on the day opens at 6.30 am and closes 30 minutes before each event. Entry to Midmar dam — Orient Park is R50 per vehicle.
