Jazz musician Errol Dyers dies

Cape Town - Renowned Cape Town jazz guitarist and composer Errol Dyers, 65, has died.

Both IOL and eNCA reported that the musician died on Friday.

According to eNCA, Dyers suffered from a lung condition known as Emphysema for a lengthy period of time.

The local jazz artist was a self-taught musician who developed his craft on the streets of Cape Town and collaborated with a number of well-known local and international artists.

The death of Dyers is being mourned while another celebtrated musician Ray Phiri is being laid to rest today in Mbombela in Mpumalanga.

Phiri died of lung cancer two weeks ago.
