Pretoria jogger injured after being hit by taxi

Cape Town - A man believed to be in his thirties was seriously injured after he was hit by a taxi on the corner of January Masilela Drive and Duvernoy Street in Constantia Park, Pretoria, on Monday.

Reports from the scene indicated that the man was jogging at about 17:45 when he was knocked down, Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said.

Paramedics managed to stabilise the injured man on the scene, before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

Police were still investigating.
