Kimberley – Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old man in Parson Lane in Kimberley, Northern Cape police said on Sunday.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning during an argument, police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said.

The suspects allegedly hit the 29-year-old with a hammer and stabbed him, said Tawana.

"The deceased suffered multiple stab wounds on both the upper and lower body, and was declared dead on the scene. The suspects were arrested on the scene and are charged with murder."

They are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
