Johannesburg – The case against convicted drug dealer Radovan Krejcir and four others accused of killing Lebanese national Sam Issa was postponed in the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Thursday.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Louw said the case was postponed to November 22.

Louw said Krejcir would have to appear alone on Monday for confirmation of his legal representative.

Issa was gunned down in his car at an intersection outside the Bedford Centre mall in Bedfordview around 06:00 on Saturday, October 12, 2013.

Police found at least 30 spent cartridges on the scene.

Krejcir faces nine charges along with co-accused Bulgarian Lybohir Grigorov, Mfaniseni Memela, Nkanyiso Mafunda and Siboniso Miya.

A constant change in legal representation and outstanding evidence documents had previously led to regular postponements in the matter since April.

The State alleges Issa was killed because he and Krejcir argued over R500 000 which Issa had lent Krejcir for a bail application in another case.

Krejcir claims his mother had sent him bail money and that Issa owed him R500 000.
