Kranskop - A man appeared in the Kranskop Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of killing his girlfriend and her mother, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
The 36-year-old man’s case was postponed to July 27. He would remain in custody until then, Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said.
He visited the two women, aged 25 and 50, at their home in Ekwazini, Kranskop, on Thursday. An argument broke out and he allegedly shot and killed them.
Kranskop detectives arrested him in KwaDukuza on Friday. The murder weapon, a 9mm pistol, was recovered in Inanda. It would be sent for ballistic testing.
