KZN man survives wood-in-face accident

Durban – A KwaZulu-Natal man miraculously survived after a piece of wood penetrated his face in Donnybrook, paramedics said on Thursday.

The man, in his 30s, was cutting wood with heavy machinery when a piece hit him in the face, entering his right cheek, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.

His friends were in the process of taking him to Life Hilton hospital when paramedics met them along the way. He was in a stable condition.
