Author and journalist Jacques Pauw's book launch was mysteriously interrupted by a power outage at the Hyde Park corner.

The Presidents Keepers was officially launched on Wednesday afternoon. During Pauw's interview with Peter Bruce, a power outage occurred to the amazement of the organisers and attendees.

According to Bruce, Eskom officials were working outside the mall and mistakenly tripped the power.

Bruce however said he found it odd that the malls generator had not taken over. The generator was started 15 minutes after the interruption. As Bruce was recovering his interview with Pauw, the power outage occurred again.

The discussion has ended with the book signing taking place.
