Man arrested for selling dagga in Bloemfontein's Freedom Square

Bloemfontein – A 59-year-old man has been arrested for dealing in dagga in Bloemfontein's Freedom Square, Free State police said on Wednesday.  

Constable Peter Kareli said police received information from crime intelligence that bags of dagga had been offloaded in the early hours of Monday morning.  

He said police had gone to the man's house on Tuesday and confiscated 27 bags filled with dagga, with a street value of more than R20 000.   

The man was expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s court soon.
