Metrorail spokesperson Lillian Mofokeng said the cause of a train crash in Germiston, Gauteng would be investigated, following a collision between two trains on Tuesday that left 200 people injured. Watch. WATCH

A man has died after jumping in front of a moving train at the Roodepoort station in the CBD on Wednesday. 

Johannesburg Emergency Management Services attended to the scene at about 11:00.

According to EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi, the man was declared dead on the scene.

Mulaudzi told News24 that it was unclear why the man had jumped in front of the train.

"The police are investigating," Mulaudzi said.
