Man electrocuted in Pietermaritzburg

Pietermaritzburg – A man was electrocuted by an illegal electrical connection in the Jika Joe informal settlement in Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday morning, paramedics said.

Two men found his body in tall grass near some exposed wires, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said. 

He had serious burn wounds over most of his body. He died at the scene. Local authorities were called to disconnect the wires and investigate the matter.
