Man seriously injured after falling off a ladder in shopping centre in Eastgate

Johannesburg - A man is believed to have lost his footing causing him to fall approximately three metres off a ladder in a shopping centre in the Eastgate area, paramedics said on Monday.

The 29 year-old man was left with serious injuries.

ER24’s spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man lying on the floor, surrounded by several of his colleagues.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained serious injuries to both of his arms.

The man was treated before he was transported to a nearby hospital.

Meiring said it is understood that the man had lost his footing on the ladder, causing him to fall.
