Cape Town - A 21-year-old man was shot and killed on Saturday after an argument with a 32-year-old man in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, police have said.

The victim was shot once in the head and died on the scene, Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut said on Sunday.

Police were called and arrested a man in 60 block, Kuyasa, seizing a Norinco pistol.

He will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Dagga worth R200 000 meanwhile was seized in a separate raid in BT section, Site C, Khayelitsha.

"As police approached, they found three bags of compressed dagga as well as parcels stored in one the shacks," Traut continued.

Traut said the shack was used for storage.

A total of 450 suspects were arrested by cluster police based in Khayelitsha in the week from Monday, July 25 to Sunday, Traut added.

The suspects were arrested on charges ranging from murder, to rape, house robbery, possession of stolen motor vehicles, aggravated robbery, among others.
