Johannesburg - A relative of former President Nelson Mandela is expected to apply for bail in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday for allegedly failing to pay child support.
The man was arrested last Thursday, Gauteng police previously told News24.
He appeared in court the next day and was remanded.
The man previously faced other charges in an unrelated case and these were provisionally withdrawn.
