Cape Town- Police will hold a memorial service on Tuesday for three police officers killed in Cape Town last week.

Constable Amanda Ladlokova was killed while she and a colleague were attending to a domestic violence complaint in Acacia Street, Philippi East, on November 22.

A woman came and asked them to help at a similar situation around the corner. When they arrived at the house after attending to the first complaint, someone opened fire on them.

Ladlokova was shot three times and died on the scene. Her colleague was shot in the neck, but played dead while he and Ladlokova's bodies were searched, EWN reported. Their service pistols were stolen.

Three armed men killed Constable Masibonge Mqwada, 33, and stole his car while he was dropping off a family member in Kraaifontein in the early hours of Saturday.

Hours later, Constable Thandoxolo Ndiki, 30, was found lying on a pavement in Delft. He had a gunshot wound to his upper body and was rushed to hospital, where he died. His car was recovered in Muizenberg on Sunday afternoon.

A 19-year-old youth was arrested in connection with Ladlokova's murder and appeared in the Athlone Magistrate's Court on Friday.

The memorial for all three officers would be held at the New Apostolic Church, Kilimanjaro Road, Tafelsig, on Tuesday at 09:30.
