Missing North West teacher found dead in bushes

Mahikeng – A North West teacher who went missing over the weekend was found dead, police said on Thursday.

Thulisile Ngwenya, 56, was found dead in the bushes near Bokone village, in the North West on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Captain Yvonne Maqoboza said her decomposed body was found by a shepherd.

Ngwenya was a teacher at Lekoko Primary School outside Mahikeng.

She was last seen on Saturday morning and reported missing on Sunday.

Maqoboza said her vehicle, a Mazda CX3, was found parked near Mahikeng taxi rank.

Police are investigating murder and kidnapping.
