Monday's weather: Fine and cool day ahead, with fog patches

It will be a fine and cool day for most parts of the country on Monday, according to the South African Weather Service.

Gauteng will be fine and cool.

The expected UVB sunburn index is low.

There will be morning fog patches along the escarpment of Mpumalanga, otherwise fine and cool to warm in the Lowveld where it will be partly cloudy.

Limpopo will have morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

It will be partly cloudy in the east.

It will be fine and warm in the North West.

The Free State will be fine and cool to warm.

Morning fog along the coast of the Northern Cape, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but cloudy at first in the south.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south easterly.

There will be morning fog in the north of the Western Cape, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly north of Saldanha Bay, but strong north-easterly at first, otherwise light to moderate south-easterly to southerly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Cloudy and cool conditions can be expected in the western part of the Eastern Cape, with isolated rain and showers along the coast and adjacent interior in the morning, becoming partly cloudy from the north in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be fresh easterly, becoming moderate in the evening.

In the eastern part of the Eastern Cape it will be partly cloudy in the north east, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain south of the escarpment, but scattered along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be fresh south easterly, becoming north-easterly in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy conditions can be expected in the north-west of KwaZulu-Natal with morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool but warm in the north-east.

Isolated showers are expected in the south and east.

The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly at first otherwise easterly to south-easterly. It will become north-easterly from the south towards evening.
