Monday's weather: Warm day with high fire conditions in parts of Western and Eastern Cape

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the northern and eastern interior of the Western Cape, as well as the north-western areas of the Eastern Cape, the South African Weather Service warns.

It will be partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north of Gauteng.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
 
There will be morning fog patches along the escarpment of Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

Otherwise, partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions can be expected in the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and central areas of Limpopo.
 
The North West will be partly cloudy and warm.
 
It will be partly cloudy and warm, with isolated thundershowers in the central and southern areas of the Free State.

The Northern Cape will have morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, but hot in the north.

Isolated thundershowers are expected over the central and south-eastern areas.
 
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly, becoming southerly to south-westerly from the afternoon, but fresh south-easterly in the evening.
 
It will be partly cloudy and warm over the central and eastern interior of the Western Cape, otherwise cloudy and cool with scattered showers and rain in the extereme south-west.

Isolated showers are expected over the western interior, spreading along the south coast in the evening.
 
The wind along the coast will be strong to near galeforce north-westerly over the south-west, otherwise moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly.

It will become moderate to fresh south-westerly from the afternoon but strong to near gale between Cape Agulhas and Stilbaai.
 
The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
 
It will be partly cloudy and warm to hot in the Eastern Cape with isolated showers and thundershowers in places from the afternoon.
 
The wind along the coast will be light westerly and north-westerly becoming moderate to fresh.

There will be morning fog patches over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal, otherwise fine and warm.
 
The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly north of Richard's Bay in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
 
The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
