Nazi flags, ammunition, found in raid on Cape Town flat

Cape Town – A large amount of ammunition, firearms, silencers, and Nazi flags and memorabilia have been found in a raid on a Cape Town flat, police said on Saturday.

Two firearms with silencers, a telescope, and ammunition for various calibres of weapons were found in  in a flat behind a house in Vryburger Street, Bothasig, on Friday, following a tip-off, Captain FC van Wyk said.

The ammunition was for firearms including R1 and R5 rifles and 9mm and .45 handguns. Military gear, training and reloading equipment, and Nazi flags and memorabilia were also confiscated.

No arrests had been made as yet, but a "person of interest" had been identified.
