Nine injured in Pretoria taxi collision

Pretoria - A taxi collision in Pretoria left nine people injured in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing, the taxi collided with a light vehicle at the Nana Sita and Sophie de Bruin Street intersection.

“ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene and found the taxi lying on its side several metres away from the car.”

Passengers of the taxi were lying scattered all over the scene.

“Upon assessment of these patients it was found that a woman believed to be in her 50’s sustained moderate injuries. All other patients, including two from the light motor vehicle, sustained minor injuries.”

The patients were transported to various hospitals for medical care.

The cause of the accident remains subject to investigation.
