Johannesburg - Nine men were arrested in Benoni for alleged possession of commercial explosives and gold dust, Ekurhuleni metro police said on Tuesday.

Officers stopped and searched a white Nissan bakkie at a roadblock near the Msholozi informal settlement, Lieutenant Colonel Wilfred Kgasago said.

Commercial explosives, detonator cords, and a bucket of gold dust were confiscated. The nine men were all undocumented Zimbabwean nationals.
