One dead as bakkie and taxi collide in Richmond

Durban-  A 25-year-old man was killed when a bus and bakkie collided on the M1 highway near Richmond on Saturday morning, said KwaZulu-Natal EMS. 

"Fifteen other people have sustained injuries and were treated by paramedics from the KZN Department of Health’s Emergency Medical Services and several private ambulance services," said spokesperson Robert Mckenzie. 

Four were in a critical condition while the other 11 had sustained serious injuries.

The group was treated on scene before being transported to various hospitals. 

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
