One dead, two injured in Durban accident

Cape Town – One person was killed and two others injured in an accident in Mariannhill, Durban on Sunday, paramedic said.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was killed when his bakkie collided with a car just after midnight.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said he died at the scene, while the two occupants of the other car were found lying next to their vehicle.

They had sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene and transported to a local hospital.

The cause of the accident is unknown.
