One killed, 2 injured in Maritzburg business shooting

Durban – A man was killed and two people were critically injured during a shooting at a business on Prince Alfred Road in Pietermaritzburg on Friday morning, paramedics said.

A woman was found lying inside a car, and two men outside the car, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.

One of the men had been shot in the head. He died on the scene. The woman had been shot several times, while the second man had been shot in the stomach. Both were in a critical conditions.

They were taken to local hospitals.

It was not yet clear what had led to the shootings.
