Durban – One person has been killed and three others injured after a vehicle rolled multiple times on the R716 in Deneysville, Gauteng on Sunday.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics were called to the scene, and on arrival, found a motor vehicle lying on its roof some distance away from the road.

“On assessment, paramedics found four patients lying next to the vehicle. It was evident that the occupants were ejected when the vehicle rolled multiple times. One of the bodies that lay near the vehicle, a male, was found with no signs of life. Unfortunately, there was nothing more that paramedics could do and he was declared dead.”

Meiring said one other patient was found in a critical condition while the remaining two sustained moderate injuries.

“Paramedics from ER24 and provincial services treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, they were transported to Sasolburg Hospital for further treatment.”

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
