Paraglider seriously injured in Cape Town crash

Cape Town – One person was seriously injured in a paragliding accident in Green Point, Cape Town, on Monday. 

City of Cape Town fire and rescue services spokesperson, Theo Layne, said the paraglider crashed in Beach Road, Green Point, on Monday afternoon.

She was assisted by paramedics and fire rescue services. 

She was stabilised at the scene before she was transported to the Christiaan Barnard Hospital. She was in a serious condition, he said.

No further information on the accident was available at this point, he said.
