Johannesburg - A pedestrian was killed and two other people sustained moderate injuries during a collision on the N1 between 14th Avenue and Gordon Road, in Flora Cliff, on Saturday, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said paramedics and several other services arrived on the scene and found a pedestrian lying in the middle of the road.

“It is understood that a vehicle collided with the pedestrian and four other vehicles collided with each other in an attempt to avoid the initial collision,” Vermaak said.

Two people from the vehicle that collided with the pedestrian were treated for moderate injuries on the scene.

The incident was handed over to the Johannesburg Metro Police for further investigation.
