Police monitoring Katlehong after shooting, looting

Cape Town – Police are monitoring Katlehong in Johannesburg where four people were arrested after a fatal shooting while four others were injured, police said on Sunday.

Following the shooting, angry residents went on a rampage, looting foreign-owned spaza shops on Sunday morning.

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza said a case of murder and two cases of attempted murder had been opened.

Police found an unlicensed firearm at a spaza shop, she said.

Police had to use rubber bullets to disperse the crowds
