A 29-year-old suspect appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Thursday for the murder of former Citi Med CEO Dr Louis Siemens.

He was arrested on Wednesday evening at his residence, Colonel Thandi Mbambo said in a statement.

"This follows a warrant of arrest that was issued last year for his alleged involvement in Dr. Siemen’s murder."

Siemens, 52, was murdered in an alleged hit in the basement of the Preller Square parking lot in Bloemfontein, Free State on May 10.

A business associate of Siemens, Kibi Stanley was accused of ordering the hit on Siemens with the help of two policemen.
