Prayers before votes in New Brighton

2016-08-03 07:11

Port Elizabeth - IEC officials at a voting station in New Brighton invited God to be part of the proceedings on Wednesday morning.

Ten minutes before voting got started, the officials, led by presiding officer Zoleka Zuzani, said a quick prayer to ask for guidance.

Over 20 New Brighton residents had already started queuing at the Pendla Primary School. Some got up at dawn to make a mark for their party.

Zuzani said they were prepared for everything to go without a hitch.
