Cape Town - A 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of cocaine with an estimated street value of R500 000 at the Cape Town International Airport, police said on Tuesday.

Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said the suspect arrived from an international flight.

He is expected to appear to appear the Bellville Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Last week, a woman was arrested in possession of 4kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of R1.2m in chocolate containers.

Officials found that the containers were filled with 200 bullets of an unknown white substance which tested positive for cocaine.
