Johannesburg - Protesters are burning tyres and blocking
roads with rocks in Finetown, south of Johannesburg on Thursday, metro police
said.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said protesters were
complaining about a lack of electricity.
Provincial road and the K43 Highway are blocked. Motorists were
advised to use Lawley road as an alternative route.
Minnaar said Chris Hani road, Colliender road and Diepkloof have
also been blocked.
Motorists should use Elias Motswaledi road, Randshow road or
the Golden Highway to enter or exit Soweto.
