A cool to cold day is expected across the country as temperatures begin to drop on Saturday.

The weather in your region

It will be fine and cool in Gauteng. It will become partly cloudy. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

Mpumalanga will be fine and cool but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.

Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the south-western parts of the North West at first. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cloudy with mist in places. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool. The wind along the coast will be light.

It will be partly cloudy with morning mist patches over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal. Otherwise, it will be cool but warm in places in the north east. Isolated rain and showers are expected in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.
