Saturday's weather: Cooler start in the morning, warming up later

It will be a cool to cold morning at first, warming up later along the north and the north central interior on Saturday, while the West Coast is expected to be hot.

Temperatures are expected to be cool to warm along the coast, according to the South African Weather Service.

The weather in your region

It will be partly cloudy in Gauteng at first. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool, but warm in the north. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

Mpumalanga will be cloudy in the east at first with morning fog patches over the escarpment. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool but partly cloudy and warm in the Lowveld.

It will be cool to warm in Limpopo, the North West, and the Free State.

It will be fine and warm to hot in the Northern Cape, but cool in the south and along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh.

It will be cloudy in the Western Cape, with fog in places over the southern parts of the Overberg District at first. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm but cool along the south coast.  It will be hot in places over the West Coast interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light.

It will be partly cloudy with mist over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool but warm in the northeast. The wind along the coast will be light. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.
