Saturday's weather: Warm temperatures and rain along parts of the coast

Isolated showers are expected along the southern coastline but warm temperatures have been predicted for the area on Saturday.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central parts of the Northern Cape, according to information provided by the South African Weather Service.

Strong winds are expected over the Beaufort West municipality of the Western Cape and the Khai-Ma municipality in the Northern Cape.

Temperatures along the coast are expected to be warm to hot.

It will be cloudy along the coast of the Western Cape with morning fog. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm to hot over the interior. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers. Morning rain is expected over the Overberg region early in the morning, spreading east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior. Otherwise, it will be cloudy and warm. Evening isolated showers and rain are expected along the coast and adjacent interior. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light and moderate.

Morning mist is expected over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal, with light rain north of Richard's Bay. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm. The wind along the coast will be gentle to moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.
