Sir Lowry's Pass closed after 4 vehicles crash into each other

Cape Town - Sir Lowry's Pass - between Strand and Grabouw - was closed on Tuesday morning in both directions due to an accident between two trucks, a light delivery vehicle and a SAPS vehicle.

City of Cape Town traffic services spokesperson Maxine Bezuidenhout said diesel had spilled onto the road during the accident.

Images uploaded to Twitter by Wheels24 motoring journalist Sean Parker show traffic authorities on the scene, and workers cleaning the diesel spill from the road.

Motorist have been advised to use alternative routes.
