Cape Town - Police have found the body of one of two teenagers swept down the Tubatse River near Burgersfort, spokesperson Colonel Ronel Otto said on Saturday.

The two 14-year-old girls were trying to cross the river on Friday afternoon after school when they fell in.

The search and rescue unit looked all over for them and the body of one the girl's was found on Saturday afternoon.

The family of the second girl still have an agonising wait as she is still missing.
