Despite the huge outcry from local Telkom customers about their faulty ADSL lines, Telkom on Wednesday reported there is “no major network problem” in the Pietermaritzburg area.

Telkom spokesperson Gugulethu Maqetuka said despite there being no major network problems, they were following up on a number of individual cases that may involve cable or overhead line faults.

“Our teams are busy undertaking repairs on the affected lines and plan to restore the services as soon as possible.

“We take this opportunity to apologise to our customers who are impacted by this,” said Maqetuka.

Customers were encouraged to continue to report faulty lines.
