Tuesday's weather: Western Cape braces for another cold front

Another cold front is expected to hit the Western Cape, bringing with it rain and low temperatures on Tuesday.

A gale force north-westerly wind of 65-90km/h is expected between Cape Point and Cape Agulhas, according to the South African Weather Service.

The weather in your region

It will be fine and cold in Gauteng. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.

Mpumalanga will be fine and cold, but cool in the Lowveld.

It will be fine and cool in Limpopo.

The North West will be fine and cold, but cool in the north-east.

Morning fog patches are expected in parts of the Free State. Otherwise, it will be fine and cold, but cool in the east.

It will be cloudy with fog and mist in places over the interior of the Northern Cape at first. Otherwise, it will be fine and cold, but cool along the coast. It will be partly cloudy over the southern interior in the evening. The wind along the coast will be light and variable.

It will be fine along the south coast and the north-eastern parts of the Western Cape. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to cold, with isolated showers and rain in the south-west from the afternoon. Windy conditions are expected along the south-west coast. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong. The expected UVB sunburn index will be low.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cool to cold. Otherwise, it will be fine, becoming partly cloudy. The wind along the coast will be strong.

It will be fine and cool, but cold in places over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal. The wind along the coast will be moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.
