Johannesburg – Two people burnt to death when their bakkie collided with a car and caught fire on the N1 north, near Botlokwa in Limpopo on Monday, traffic officials said.

Emergency services were struggling to get their remains out of the wreckage, said Limpopo traffic spokesperson Kagiso Mootane.

The occupants of the car were critically injured. Mootane advised motorists to use other routes as clearing the scene could take a few hours.
