Rustenburg - Two children, believed to be brothers, were killed after they were knocked down on the N4, close to Waterfall Mall in Rustenburg on Saturday morning.

ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen, said when ER24 paramedics had arrived at the scene shortly after 10:00, both children, believed to be between the ages of nine and 11, were lying in the middle of the road.

“Unfortunately, the children were found not showing any signs of life and ER24 paramedics declared both boys dead,” said Van Huyssteen.

Van Huyssteen said the exact details surrounding the incident were not known to the paramedics but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
