2 drowned on KZN South Coast

Durban  Two people have drowned in separate incidents on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, provincial emergency medical services said on Saturday.

A 26-year-old man drowned in the sea at Umtentweni beach, said spokesperson, Robert McKenzie, while in Manaba near Margate, a 20-year-old woman drowned in a swimming pool at a block of flats.

McKenzie said both had died before paramedics arrived on the scene.

No further details about either incident were available.

McKenzie said police were investigating both cases.
