Two killed, four injured in Cosmo City crash

Johannesburg - Two people were killed and four injured when a car rolled down an embankment and into a small river in Cosmo City, Johannesburg in the early hours of Monday morning, paramedics said.

When paramedics arrived at the scene the vehicle was found on its roof, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.

"One person was found at the bottom of the embankment. Sadly he had succumbed to his injuries," she said.

"Another who was found on the road was also declared dead."

The four injured were taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

The exact cause of the accident was not known.
