Durban – Three women were hijacked in Chatsworth, Durban, over the weekend, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.

The crime was caught on a security camera.

Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said a 36-year-old woman was parked outside a residence on Jacaranda Road, Mobeni Heights, on Saturday.

Three armed men driving a silver-grey Polo Vivo stopped in front of the BMW and pulled the driver and her passengers out.

Police recovered the BMW on Mangosuthu Highway, Umlazi.

Mbhele cautioned drivers to be alert and drive to their nearest police station if they noticed they were being followed.
