Johannesburg - An unidentified JMPD officer was caught on camera as he allegedly took a bribe from a motorist in Johannesburg.

The officer was seen approaching a vehicle and then allegedly putting money in his pocket.

JMPD spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the officer's actions were disappointing.

Minnaar appealed to anyone with information that could assist with the investigation to come forward.

He said the matter had been reported to JMPD internal affairs.

"We will never condone corruption and the corrupt officer should be dismissed," Minnaar said.
