Weather Update: Isolated showers for parts of the coast

Isolated showers are expected for the south coast of the Western Cape towards the western coastline of the Eastern Cape on Wednesday.


Isolated showers and rain are expected along the south coast and adjacent interior of the Western Cape and along the coast of the western half of the Eastern Cape.


Minimum temperatures will be cold across the central interior and cool for the rest of the country.

The coldest places will be Bethlehem in the Free State and Vereeniging in Gauteng, dropping to a below-freezing -1°C.

Maximum temperatures remain cool for most parts of the country including the Western Cape coast and south-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Cool to warm conditions are expected for Limpopo, Northern Cape and the eastern half of the Eastern Cape.

Warmer conditions are expected for the Lowveld in Mpumalanga, parts of the Northern Cape, the Wild Coast in Eastern Cape and most parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Many places across the eastern parts of the country will reach a high of 27°C.

Pretoria will reach a high of 24°C, with Johannesburg expected to reach 22°C and Bloemfontein is expecting a maximum of 20°C.

Along the coast, Cape Town will reach 20°C, with Port Elizabeth expected to reach 23°C and Durban expecting a maximum of 27°C.
