Weather Update: Warm along northern border, cool across rest of SA

Weather conditions are expected to be fair across the country with cool to warm temperatures on Wednesday.


Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected for the north central interior of the Northern Cape.


Minimum temperatures are expected to be cool to cold across most parts of the country.

The coldest place will be Potchefstroom in the North West, dropping to a freezing 0°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be cool across most parts of the country, with warm weather expected along the northern border and adjacent interior as well as the northern and western interior of the Western Cape.

The warmest place will be Alexander Bay in the Western Cape, expected to reach a high of 30°C.

Pretoria is expected to reach a high of 24°C, while Johannesburg is expected to be 22°C and the temperature in Bloemfontein is expected a maximum of 23°C.

Along the coast, Cape Town is expected to reach a high of 19°C, Port Elizabeth a high of 22°C and Durban a maximum of 24°C.
