Wednesday's weather: Very cold conditions for central interior

It will be cold across the central interior, while the rest of the country will be cool on Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to be warm along the northern border and adjacent interior, and along the East Coast, according to the South African Weather Service.

It will be fine and cool in Gauteng. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

Mpumalanga will be cold on the Highveld. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool, but warm in the Lowveld.

It will be fine and cool to cold in the Free State.

The Northern Cape will be partly cloudy and cold over the southern interior at first. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool, but cold in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh.

It will be cloudy, with light rain in the south-western parts of the Western Cape at first. It will become partly cloudy during the morning. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool. The wind along the coast will be fresh. The expected UVB sunburn index will be low.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cloudy, with isolated showers and rain. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool, becoming fine in the afternoon. It will be cold in the north. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong.

It will be fine and cool, but cold over the western interior of KwaZulu-Natal. The wind along the coast will be moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.
