Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in most parts of the country on Wednesday.

Severe thunderstorms are possible over the north-eastern part of Northern Cape, the western part of the North West and the extreme western parts of the Free State, according to information provided by the South African Weather Service.

Temperatures along the coast are expected to be moderate.

Gauteng will be partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.

It will be cloudy in the east of Mpumalanga, with drizzle and morning fog patches along the escarpment. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north-western Highveld.

Limpopo is expected to be cloudy in the east with drizzle and fog along the escarpment. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south and southwest.

It will be partly cloudy and warm in the North West, with scattered thundershowers.

The Free State will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers but scattered in the extreme west. It will be cool in the east.

It will be fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected. It will be cloudy to partly cloudy with morning fog along the coast where it will be cool. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate.

It will be cloudy along the west and south coast of the Western Cape, with morning and evening fog on the south coast. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm to hot over the Karoo area but cool over the Peninsula region. Evening isolated thundershowers are expected in the north-eastern part of the Karoo. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be very high.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cloudy with mist in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cool in places along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate.

It will be partly cloudy with morning mist patches in places over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal. Otherwise, it will be cool but warm in places in the east. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be high.
