Johannesburg – A 68-year-old woman was shot and critically injured during a hijacking in Weltevreden Park on Monday, paramedics said.
The woman was shot in her driveway on Thorn Avenue, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.
A number of armed men were involved in the attack. The woman was found lying in her garden.
She was treated on the scene and taken to a private hospital.
